Personal Data Protection Policy

 

1. Preamble

 

AEConsulting, within the meaning of Article L.233-3 of the Commercial Code (hereinafter “AEConsulting”), processes personal data (as defined below) in the course of its business, which includes the personal data of individuals who browse AEConsulting’s website (the “Site”).

 

This “Personal Data Protection Policy” (the “Policy”) aims to inform all natural persons concerned (“You” or “Your”) about how AEConsulting collects and uses such personal data and about the means available to You to control such use.

 

2. Scope of this Personal Data Protection Policy

 

This Policy sets out the principles and guidelines for the protection of Your personal data, including the personal data collected on or via the Site.

 

AEConsulting collects personal data online (including by email) or offline; this Policy applies regardless of the method of collection or processing.

Personal data may include the following:

  • First and last name

  • Postal address

  • Email address

  • Telephone number(s)

  • Job title or position

  • University, degree, and courses attended

  • Type of organization (company, school, university, etc.), name of the organization, organization size, department, and job title

  • Industry and sub-industries

  • IP address, and

  • Any other Personal Data that may be relevant for the purposes set out below.

 

In any case, the personal data collected will be limited to the data necessary for the purposes described in Article 4 below.

 

Note to visitors and users of the Site: certain features and functionalities of the Site can only be used if You provide AEConsulting with certain personal data when You visit or use the Site. You are free to provide all or part of Your personal data. However, if You choose not to provide it, this decision may prevent or hinder the achievement of the purposes described in Article 4 below, certain services and features of the Site may not function properly, and/or You may be denied access to certain pages of the Site.

 

4. Purposes of Collecting Personal Data

 

As indicated above, You provide Your personal data voluntarily.

 

Personal data is generally collected for AEConsulting’s business needs, such as improving AEConsulting’s marketing and advertising efforts, better tailoring AEConsulting’s products and services to customer needs, complying with legal reporting obligations, and other similar activities.

 

AEConsulting collects and uses Your personal data for its business needs, including the following purposes:

 

To allow You to request and obtain information about AEConsulting and its products and services

To provide You with an interactive and personalized use of the Site

To identify Your needs and interests and provide You with the most suitable products and services

To enable AEConsulting to manage its marketing activities

To enable AEConsulting to manage its business relationships

Subject to applicable local legislation, by providing Your email address, You expressly authorize AEConsulting to use it along with other relevant personal data to send You commercial or marketing messages. Analyze Your browsing habits and measure Site audience

Analyze Your interests and provide You with targeted marketing or advertising offers

 

In such cases, invisible pixels and cookies provided by these third-party providers may be used and stored. When the information generated by these cookies is transmitted, the cookie settings ensure that the IP address is anonymized before geolocation and storage. Our providers will use this information to evaluate Your use of the Site, prepare reports on Site activity for AEConsulting, and deliver better services and targeted advertisements. They will not associate Your IP address with any of their other data.

The “processing” of personal data includes, in particular, the use, storage, recording, transfer, adaptation, analysis, modification, reporting, sharing, and destruction of personal data as necessary in light of the circumstances or legal requirements.

 

All collected personal data is retained for a limited period based on the purpose of the processing and only for the duration required by applicable law.

 

7. Links to Websites Not Controlled by AEConsulting

 

The Site may offer links to third-party websites that may be of interest to You.

 

AEConsulting has no control over the content of third-party sites or their personal data protection practices. Therefore, AEConsulting declines any responsibility for the processing of Your personal data by these third parties. It is Your responsibility to check the personal data protection policies of these third parties.

 

8. Transfer of Personal Data

 

If You access the Site from a country outside the European Union where the laws regarding data collection, use, and transfer differ from those of the European Union, please note that by continuing to use the Site, which is governed by French law, the relevant Terms of Use, and this Policy, You are transferring Your personal data to the European Union and consent to this transfer.

 

Your personal data may be disclosed within AEConsulting for the purposes set out in Article 4 of this Policy.

 

AEConsulting may transfer Your personal data outside the European Union, provided that before transferring it, AEConsulting ensures that the entities outside the European Union offer an adequate level of protection in compliance with applicable European legislation. If AEConsulting learns that a third party to whom AEConsulting has provided personal data for the purposes set out in Article 4 above uses or discloses personal data in ways that violate this Policy or applicable law, AEConsulting will take all reasonable measures to prevent or stop such use or disclosure.

 

You also have the right to authorize or not authorize AEConsulting to use Your personal data for purposes other than those for which the personal data was initially collected. You can object to such use by contacting: dpo@aeconsulting.fr.

 

AEConsulting may also transfer Your personal data to third parties if it believes such transfer is necessary for technical reasons (for example, third-party hosting services) or to protect its legal interests (for example, in the event of asset sales to a third-party company, changes in control, or total or partial liquidation of AEConsulting).

 

AEConsulting may disclose Your personal data if required by law or if AEConsulting believes in good faith that such disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with legal proceedings (for example, a warrant, subpoena, or court order) or to protect the rights, property, or personal safety of AEConsulting, its clients, or the public. Where permitted by applicable law, AEConsulting may also share Your personal data with third parties to offer You targeted marketing or advertising offers. Such transfers may take place via the Internet or any other method deemed appropriate by AEConsulting in accordance with applicable law and AEConsulting’s internal security policies.

 

9. Right of Access and Rectification of Data

 

AEConsulting has implemented appropriate personal data protection mechanisms to ensure that personal data is used in accordance with the purposes above and to maintain its accuracy and updates.

 

You have the right to access Your personal data. In addition, You have the right to request the rectification, update, or deletion of Your personal data. You also have the right to obtain a copy of Your personal data held by AEConsulting. If You have an account, You can exercise Your access and rectification rights by logging into Your account. Otherwise, You can exercise these rights by sending an email to: dpo@aeconsulting.fr.

 

Depending on the scope of the request, AEConsulting reserves the right to charge the requester a reasonable fee to cover the costs related to access, rectification, or deletion operations. AEConsulting reserves the right to deny access to personal data in specific cases provided for by applicable laws and regulations.

 

10. Security and Data Recipients

 

AEConsulting ensures the protection and security of the personal data You choose to share, in order to maintain their confidentiality and prevent them from being altered, damaged, destroyed, or disclosed to unauthorized third parties.

 

AEConsulting has implemented physical, electronic, and organizational security measures to prevent any loss, misuse, unauthorized access or disclosure, alteration, or potential destruction of this personal data. Among these security measures, AEConsulting uses technologies specifically designed to protect personal data during transmission. However, despite AEConsulting’s efforts to protect Your personal data, it cannot guarantee the absolute security of this protection due to unavoidable risks that may arise during the transmission of personal data.

 

All personal data is confidential, and access is limited to AEConsulting employees and contractors who need it to perform their duties. All persons with access to Your personal data are bound by a confidentiality obligation and are subject to disciplinary and/or other sanctions if they fail to comply with these obligations.

 

However, it is important that You exercise caution to prevent unauthorized access to Your personal data. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of Your password and account information. Therefore, You should ensure that You log out when using a shared computer.

 

11. Dispute Resolution

 

Although AEConsulting has taken reasonable measures to protect personal data, no transmission or storage technology is completely infallible.

 

However, AEConsulting is committed to ensuring the protection of personal data. If You have reason to believe that the security of Your personal data has been compromised or misused, You are invited to contact AEConsulting at: dpo@aeconsulting.fr.

AEConsulting will investigate complaints regarding the use and disclosure of personal data and will attempt to resolve them in accordance with the principles of this Policy.

 

Unauthorized access to or misuse of personal data may constitute a violation of applicable local legislation.
